"Meaty" Steel Cut Oats

A beautiful mistake!  I thought I was making some Bulgar wheat but accidentally grabbed the steel cut oats, not even noticing the difference I proceeded with the recipe.  It wasn't til it was completely done that I noticed it was the oats!  Silly me, that's what happens when you try to do to many things at once :)

Ingredients:
1 cup Steel Cut Oats
1 cup Beef Broth (or any broth you like)
Directions:
Heat the broth to a boil, once it is boiling pour it over the steel cut oats, stir to combine.  Cover the oats and let sit for 30 or more minutes (until the liquid is soaked up, it helps to use a glass bowl so you can see without removing the lid).  I let mine sit for a hour.  Remove lid, fluff with a fork and enjoy!  It's that simple!!  You can add chicken, herbs, beans, vegetables, even adding some into ground meat to make burgers, so many possibilities!
